	The Department of Medicine Hospitalists will provide the highest quality of inpatient care in an efficient manner while observing the following tenants: Recognizing that each patient and their family is unique and emphasizing the ongoing importance of communicating with their regular primary care physician. To teach medical learners the fundamental principles of inpatient medicine using methods that are both engaging and reproducible. Continuously assessing and validating measures of quality and safety for the general medical community at Abington Memorial Hospital.
