Baber Ghauri, MD, MBA

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Baber was a biochemistry major at Philadelphia University, this technology-fertile environment nurtured his fondness of computer programming and information systems.  Dr. Ghauri continued his medical training at Drexel University School of Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital, Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital and served a fourth year as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine.  These three, very diverse institutions represented every major national theme in healthcare management and instilled a desire to better understand the growing complexities of delivering leading-edge medical care to patients.  His selection as a Chief Resident afforded him the opportunity to simultaneously matriculate with Drexel's LeBow College of Business to earn an MBA degree in 2005.

Baber considers serving his patients and residents a privilege and takes great pride in contributing in a team environment.  Baber owes much (if not all) of his success to his wife, also a hospitalist (Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia) and they have two children born in 2003 and 2005.
